My journey with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels began with the love of a Cavalier named Apache. I got Apache in 1992, had 5 wonderful years with him. In 1997 he got out of the fence and my heart was broken. I started looking at other breeds, but always went back to cavaliers.
I joined the CKCSC, USA Club in 1997. My search for a tri male began. It ended with a phone call to Mandy Mulligan with Nightingale Cavaliers in Maryland. I picked up Nightingale Doc Marten (Cowboy) at a club show in Baltimore. The people I met were wonderful and the start of some wonderful friends. I enjoyed it so much I decided to look for a show dog.
In 1998 I purchased Luxxar Parkplace (Ripley) from Paula Campanozzi. In 2000 Ripley became an AKC Champion.
I imported my first female from the Sanickro Kennel in England, Sanickro Unchain Melody. After Melody I imported two other girls from the same kennel.
Melody is the mother of my dual Champion Riverview Orange Blossom. I finished her in both CKCSC and AKC in 2007. She also was Top Ruby in 2006 and 2007.
As a member of the CKCSC, USA I have in the past served on the Cavaliers of the South Board and National Board Treasurer. At the present time I'm the Membership Secretary for the CKCSC, USA.
We have made a new home in Amite, Louisiana since Hurricane Katrina which changed our lives.
Hope you enjoyed the story of how I got started on this wonderful journey.
